Bush Buddies — November Adventure
Lorenzo the Lyrebird

On the cool, damp floor of south-eastern Australia’s forests, Lorenzo stands perfectly still with his head tilted, listening. A kookaburra’s laugh, a camera shutter, a chainsaw two ridges over: he only needs to hear a sound once before it joins his collection, ready to be performed note for note.

This edition invites children to listen a little closer, try copying the sounds around them, and meet the bird who has turned borrowing into an art form.

What’s included in this Bush Buddies Adventure:

• Letter from Lorenzo the Lyrebird
• Collectors Curio Card featuring fascinating facts about the Lyrebird
• Postcard (to keep or send)
• Themed Sticker Sheet
• Vinyl collectible Passport “Stamp” sticker
• Gatefold theatre programme, “An Evening of Borrowed Songs”: a folded A6 show programme whose doors open like stage curtains onto a painted forest stage, with a QR code that plays Lorenzo’s set list

Each Bush Buddies adventure is designed to spark curiosity about Australian wildlife and encourage children to explore the natural world.

Please note: Past Adventures are usually mailed around the same time as the current month’s mail club. It may be a week or two from the time of purchase before your Past Adventure is posted.
